Roger Edward Wytkewicz
September 16th, 1935 - January 17th, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Roger Edward Wytkewicz born on September 16, 1935 announce his passing on January 17, 2025. He was a funny man and wrote his own obituary, and here it is.
Hi everyone. If you are reading this, I died at the age of 89 on the early morning of Saturday, January 17, 2025 in Sarasota, FL. I was born on September 16, 1935 in the Marinette County Hospital, the oldest child of the late John and Eleanor Wojtkewicz. I was a gas station/minimart owner in Crivitz, WI and a realtor in Sarasota. I went to grade and high school where I met my future bride to be, Mary Weddel.
I was drafted into the Army from 1954-1956, worked various jobs and my brother, Gene Wyman and I started the Crivitz Home Bakery and was self-employed most of my life.
My son and daughters, Gina, Steve and Lisa and grandchildren always were the joys of my life and oh how they could make me laugh. I love you for it and thank you so much.
I am not going to have a funeral service, as I mentioned it was bad enough to look at me alive and now have to look at me dead, yuck.
I hope most of me can be put to good use as I am a body donor. Think about that yourselves and help others. The rest of me will be cremated. My wish is for all of you to enjoy life and leave all your troubles and pettiness behind. Have a get together, party and remember me with smiles. I am now with mom and Dad and all the loves ones. It sure is nice seeing them again and I’ll say hi from all of you.
A private graveside service with honors will be held at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements. To send a condolence or memory please visit www.farleyfuneralhome.com.
