Corey Thomas Boettcher
April 3rd, 1970 - October 2nd, 2024
Corey Thomas Boettcher, 54, passed away on 10/2/2024 after a hard-fought battle with renal cancer.
Corey was born in Rochester, Minnesota on 4/3/1970 and moved to Arizona in 1971. He was raised in Chandler, Arizona and attended Chandler Junior High and Chandler High Schools.
Corey’s career started out as a dishwasher at Lunt Avenue Marble Club, eventually working his way to cook, then chef. He worked at City Limits, Chops and Rigatony’s in Chandler for many years.
He started spending his summers in Wyoming working at Alcova Marina, eventually moving to Casper full time. He lived there for about 16 years, returning to Arizona in 2021.
He had such a great group of friends that were so loyal and that he considered family. There are too many friends to name here but you know who you are. Corey really loved all of you!
Instead of a memorial service, he wanted his friends and family to celebrate his birthday at his favorite bar. This became a tradition after he moved back to Arizona and it was always a great time! He was so happy to see all his friends and family together.
We are planning to celebrate his birthday and share happy memories on 4/5/25 @ 6:00 PM
Priceless Too, 3029 N Alma School Rd #102 Chandler, Arizona 85224.
Corey is preceded in death by his dad and mom, Earl and Kathy, many aunts and uncles, cousins, and close friends.
He is survived by his brothers Craig (Nora) Boettcher and Patrick (Annette) Boettcher, sisters Annie (Rob) Martell and Mary (Jim) Misiak, nephews Thomas, Hayden, Tyler, Nathan, Zach, and nieces Carrie (Josh) Carstens, Madison (Nav) Jat, and Mary Kate Boettcher. He is also survived by his canine nieces Minnie Martell, Reba and Ivy Misiak, and great-niece Elvira Jat.
Corey was so funny, loyal, honest, caring, generous, a great chef, an awesome brother, uncle, and friend. He was also a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan.
Thank you to all that were able to see him and spend time with him in his last few days. It really meant so much to him and to us.
Cancer sucks!
