Phil Gunn, 95, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on January 29, 2025.
He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 18, 1929. He was an avid golfer and loved NASCAR. Phil graduated from Georgia Tech and remained a lifelong fan of the Ramblin' Wreck football team. Phil and his wife, Marilyn, enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises during their 42 years of marriage.
Surviving Phil is his wife, Marilyn; sons, Larry Gunn (Tara), Wayne Gunn, Mark Gunn (JoAnn), Jim Lynch; daughters, Lynda Burgess (Jim), Brenda Oxford (David), Janice Satterfield (Eddie), Tammy Holland (David), Kelly Smith (Steve); many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd at 1pm at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be held at 2pm in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
