In Loving Memory Of
Henry A Thompson, 84, of Rockledge, FL, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025. Born in Waukegan, IL, on November 19, 1940, he lived a life of dedication, service, and love.
After graduating high school, he proudly served in the United States Army, where he was a member of the sharpshooting team. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career as a cartographer for the Defense Mapping Agency. His expertise and innovation earned him numerous awards, including a patent for a microscope lens. Upon retirement, he continued working as a skilled carpenter at Spartech/Sea Ray Boats.
A man of deep faith and community involvement, Henry A. Thompson was an active member of Amvets, the Knights of Columbus, and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he served as a lector and Eucharistic minister. His passions included woodworking, painting, prison ministry, fishing, and karaoke—pursuits that brought him and those around him great joy.
He was proceeded in death by his wife of 39 years, Sherry Ann (Robillard) Thompson of 39 years, and his Son Matt Thompson.
He is survived by his brother, Mike Thompson; sisters, Ruth Pearce and Mary; his beloved stepchildren, Ron Robillard Jr., Robie Robillard, Randall Robillard, Renee Szabo, and Richelle Hagan; as well as 24 grandchildren and more than 30 great-grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
