In Loving Memory of Barbara J. Gillilan
Barbara J. Gillilan, 77, of Davenport, FL passed away on February 6, 2025, at AdventHealth Celebration Hospital Celebration, FL. She was born on November 2, 1947, in Kissimmee, FL, to Charles and Rosa Giddens Reynolds. Barbara worked as a hairdresser for over 50 years, including owning and operating the Country Village Beauty Salon. She was also a dedicated member of Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, FL.
Barbara was passionate about plants, cooking, and baking, and she cherished the time spent with her family. Even with a busy schedule, she lovingly kept her grandchildren and made them feel special. Those who knew Barbara described her as a joyful person who was always eager to help others. She was a loyal friend and a constant source of kindness and positivity to everyone around her.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rosa; her brother, Scottie Reynolds; and her beloved husband of 50 years, William Gillilan. She is survived by her children, Shane Gillilan and his wife, Tilena of Davenport, Jennifer Tomlinson and her husband, Ray of Davenport, Christopher Gillilan and his wife, Cindy of Haines City, Florida; her brothers, Charlie Reynolds and wife, Trudy of Salem, MO, and Stevie Reynolds and wife, Cathy of Davenport, FL; grandchildren, Kirsten McMahan and her husband, Mike ,Shelby Duff and her husband, Josh, Dylan Tomlinson, Ashley Tomlinson all of Davenport, Matthew Gillilan and Candace Gillilan of Haines City; great grandchildren, Addison Cole, Callie Cole, Arya McMahan and Daxton McMahan all of Davenport. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 4:00 pm until the funeral at 5:00 pm at Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice or Landmark Baptist Church in her memory.
