Marilyn Kay Hamm
January 13th, 1951 - December 25th, 2024
Marilyn Kay Hamm, Mesa, AZ. Marilyn Hamm was born Jan 13, 1951, to Orville and Marian Hamm at the old St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. Marilyn unwaveringly trusted in Jesus Christ for her salvation. She passed away on December 25, 2024, and truly was home for Christmas! Marilyn grew up in Phoenix and Mesa, attending Papago Elementary, Westwood High School, then Mesa Community College. Although she spent some early years working at Empire Co. and Mesa Schools, she loved spending most of her life volunteering at hospitals, emergency rooms, and the Tonto Natural Bridge near Payson, AZ. Some of her favorite times were spent at her Solitude cabin in Pine, AZ. and visits to the family cabin in Christopher Creek. She was an accomplished practical joker and had a hilarious sense of humor. She traveled the world, and helicopter skied in the Swiss Alps. She was our sweet sister and best Aunt Bum to many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. She loved her pets and horses, and was a loving mom to Caleb, Dickens, and Sammy the cat. She was a loyal and generous friend to many, always remembering birthdays and special occasions, and being ready to listen. Until her very last day, she was still making and sharing her popular Christmas caramel corn. She will always be loved and missed by many!Marilyn was predeceased by parents, Orville and Marian Hamm. She left behind sister, Susan (Tom) Gardner, Peoria, AZ, brothers, Rick (Gini) Hamm, Sun Lakes, AZ and Montana, Steve (Karen) Hamm, Alpena, Arkansas, many nieces, nephews, and greats, her 3 precious furry “boys”, and many dear friends.
