Marvin Lewis Dillard was born on May 15, 1952, in Monterey, California. He was the beloved son of Cornelia Jewell Morgan and Harvey Lee Dillard, both of whom preceded him in death.

Marvin grew up in Seaside, where he attended and graduated from Monterey High School. He continued his academic journey, ultimately earning a master’s degree a testament to his dedication to education and personal growth.

Marvin was a cherished brother to his five sisters: Carol Dillard, Thomasine Dillard, Rosalind Bibbens, Carmen Morgan and the late Donna Morgan. He was also a devoted brother to his two brothers, Harvey Lee Dillard Jr. and the late Welton Rufus Dillard. He shared a special bond with his brother-in-law, Aaron Bibbens III and his nephew Aaron Anthony Bibbens, he also leaves behind a niece Angela Grey, and his nephew the late David Gaines, his beloved cousins Elosie Prichett, Frankie Johnson and a host of relatives.

Among those who will forever hold his memory in their hearts is his loving daughter, Dominica Hansen, whom he leaves behind as his lasting legacy.

Marvin’s life will be honored with a Celebration of Life on March 21, 2025, at 12:00 pm at the Chapel of Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park located at 1915 Ord Grove Avenue, Seaside, California. His presence, wisdom, and love will be deeply missed but forever cherished by those who knew him.

May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before him.
