George Clark
January 20th, 1954 - February 13th, 2025
George passed on February 13, 2025, after a two-year battle with gall bladder cancer. He was born in Nuremberg, Germany on January 20,1954, to Lt. Col. George Clark and Lydia Kohler. George lived a life full of passion, dedication, humor and love.
George spent most of his childhood years in Germany before moving to the U.S. in 1967, making Ft Jackson, SC, his first American home and later settling in Colorado Springs after his father retired in 1969. A true patriot himself, he served his country with honor in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1979.
In 1976, George married the love of his life, Deborah Piercy (Clark), with whom he shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised two children, Shannon Clark (Fast) and Jared Clark, who have brought immense joy and pride into their lives. George’s family expanded with the addition of his son-in-law, Robert Fast and daughter-in-law, Bri Schock (Clark). His three grandchildren, Tyler Gass (15), Blair Clark (4) and Alexis Fast (20), were the light of his life and brought him boundless happiness. George is also survived by his sister’s Linda Clark (Stich) and Charlotte Clark.
Anyone who knows George, knew he was full of humor and always loved a good joke, it was one of his greatest gifts; the ability to make others laugh. George spent most of his years working in the tech industry and had a passion for fishing. He spent many hours casting lines in the serene waters of Colorado and the brown waters of Galveston, always cherishing the joy it brought him. An avid car enthusiast, George found great joy in restoring classic muscle cars. His favorite cars being a 1967 GTA Fastback and a 1969 Mach 1. His love for automobiles was evident in his ownership and operation of Prestige Auto, his auto appraisal company and working for Cadillac later in life.
George will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, dedication to his country and his zest for life. He leaves a legacy of kindness, strength and cherished memories that will forever be held close to our hearts. A favorite quote of George’s was, “Live more, Laugh more, Love more”. Rest in peace George, you will be deeply missed and forever loved.
