Maxine M. Johnson
July 30th, 1927 - May 10th, 2023
Maxine Johnson passed away May 10,2023 at the age of 95. Born in Portland, Oregon to Hazel Halverson and Thomas Davis Johnson, Maxine lived most of her life in Portland, Oregon. She attended Llewellyn grade school, and Cleveland high school. As a young girl, she was active in 4H, and won many trophy's and awards for her floral arrangements. ln addition to being a homemaker and loving mother she was also a dental assistant to several dentists in the Portland area. Maxine is survived by her two daughters: Julia Ruscitti, and Jacqueline Fitchell, as well as her granddaughter Kristian Ruscitti, and sister Mary Ann Johnson. She is predeceased by her mother Hazel Johnson her father Thomas Davis Johnson, brother Jack Johnson, and her sister Estelle Cummings.

At Wilhelm's Portland Memorial, we have a rich history dating back to 1901 when we became the first crematory west of the Mississippi River, known then as The Portland Cremation Association. Our historic chapel, marked by its cornerstone placed on February 5th, 1901, has stood the test of time. Today, our memorial site spans 8 stories, approximately 7 miles of corridors of beautifully preserved architecture, and the largest mausoleum on the west coast, spanning 2.5 city blocks....
