Donna Mae Wahl

Donna Mae Wahl, 89, Madison, formerly of Fort Atkinson passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Oak Park East.

Donna was born on May 1, 1935 in Watertown, WI to Otto and Adehla (Janke) Uttech. She grew up on a farm in Johnson’s Creek and she attended a one-room schoolhouse through eighth grade. She graduated from Johnson Creek High School. While working at Schweiger's Furniture, Donna met the love of her life, Donald Wahl, in the summer of 1955. The couple wed on August 23, 1958, and together they had two children. Donna was employed at Lemke Fence in Fort Atkinson and Jefferson as their administrative assistant.  She enjoyed knitting, reading, traveling, her flower garden, attending Badger football games, playing bridge, euchre, sheepshead, and bingo.  Donna was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson.

Donna will be remembered for the love she shared with everyone and baked into every batch of chocolate chip cookies. She was the most loving and supportive grandmother, attending every sporting event, concert and school activity through the years and planning special vacations with her grandchildren every summer. In recent years, her special joy was her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Beth (Tom) Johnson, Madison, and Eric (Victor Arroyo) Wahl, Dallas, Tx; grandchildren Sara (Chris) Leuthold, Kyle Johnson; great-grandchildren Evelyn, Nolan, Hannah, Lucas, and Jack; brother Ralph Uttech and sister Audrey (Raymond) Werner.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, and grandson Lucas Johnson.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00 am at Bethany Lutheran Church 404 Roosevelt St. Fort Atkinson, WI 53538.  Visitation will take place from 9:30am until the time of the service.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
