Martha Mary Jamison
May 6th, 1954 - February 8th, 2025
Always in our hearts
Martha Mary Jamison, 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Palm Bay, Florida, on February 8th, 2025. She was known for her charming and upbeat personality, always quick with a one-liner and a positive attitude. Over the years, she touched many lives.
Martha was highly educated, graduating from Marple Newtown High School in the class of 1972. She continued her education at Goddard College, where she earned a degree in Liberal Arts, and then went on to Moore College of Art, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts.
One of her first jobs was at Camp Beehive, a summer camp for children with special needs, where she met the love of her life, Jeffrey Keith, whom she later married. She also volunteered during the construction of Arcosanti, a groundbreaking project founded in 1970 that aimed to create the world’s first prototype Arcology. Throughout her life, Martha volunteered at her church in various capacities.
Martha led an active and adventurous life with her husband, engaging in skiing, swimming, camping, sailing, mushroom foraging, and, most of all, gardening.
Remaining to cherish Martha’s memory are her son, Kyle Jamison (Jackie); her grandchildren, Olivia, Abigail, Amanda, and Emily; her brother, Thomas Jamison; her sister, Dorothy Church (Joseph); and her nieces and nephews, Larry, Jennifer, Alec, Daniel, and Christopher. She also leaves behind many friends, neighbors, and co-workers who enriched her life as she did theirs.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Jeffrey Keith, and her parents, Charles III and Mary Jamison.
A private celebration of life will be held on March 9th in Palm Bay, Florida, with family and friends. A graveside service at Nathan Slade Cemetery will take place April 12th at 2pm in Somerset, Massachusetts, before she is laid to rest alongside her husband.
