Maria Antonia Lopez
June 13th, 1953 - February 7th, 2025
Following a courageous and tough battle with cancer, Maria Antonia Lopez, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the age of 71 in Mesa, Arizona.
Maria was born Antonia Rosales Baldenegro at home in Chandler, Arizona on June 13, 1953.
Although she has departed this earth, she will live forever in the hearts of those who loved her dearly and unconditionally. We take comfort in God's promises and in the hope her body, mind and soul will be restored to new.
Maria is survived by her three children, Luis "Louie" Baldenegro and wife Suzanne, Rose B. Garcia and husband Johnny and Julia Salas; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. In addition, two half brothers, Ruben and Miguel, four brothers, Mike, Freddie, Leo and Roy along with three sisters, Theresa, Belen (Josie) and Esther and many neices and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Arnulfo "Arnold" Baldenegro Sr., mother Guadalupe "Lupe" (Rosales) Terrazas, step-mother Marguerite E
Baldenegro; brothers Arnulfo "Arnold" Baldenegro Jr., Patricio Baldenegro and infant granddaughter Alissa Baldenegro Garcia.
The family is eternally grateful to all of the doctors, nurses and medical teams that cared for our beloved mother and nana over the past three years.
Private Viewing for Maria's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will be at Meldrum Mortuary on Friday, February 28th at 10am.
Graveside service following interment will be held on Friday, February 28th at 11:00 am at City of Mesa Cemetery.
