Stanley Gene Neher
October 1st, 1927 - February 16th, 2025
Stanley Gene Neher was born October 1st, 1927 in Frankfort, Indiana and passed away on February 16, 2025 in Monument, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elda and Maude Neher, sisters Beverly Maxine, Patricia Ann, and brother Fred Daniel.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn, and children Bruce Alan (Jodie), Dawn Michelle, and Crystal Suzanne (Jay), as well as brother Max Benson. He also leaves behind grandchildren Ashleigh, Dustin, Dylan-Rose, Jackson, Savannah, Sydney, Jadon, and Camryn, as well as three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Having retired from General Motors as a claims adjuster, Stan and his family spent two terms with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea where his jobs ranged from children's home parent to flight coordinator for Wycliffe's flying service to missionaries.
His passion in life was showing love to little children by teaching Sunday school at his local church where he shared Bible stories, and reading to kindergarten classes at the local charter school. He is remembered fondly by those children, many who are now adults.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at the Ascent Church in Monument, Colorado on March 1, 2025, at 10:00AM.
