Sally Lou O'Bryan
September 17th, 1938 - February 24th, 2025
Sally Lou O’Bryan, aged 86, passed away on February 24, 2025, in Haines City Florida, while surrounded by her loved ones. Sally was born on September 17, 1938, in Montour Falls, New York to Harry and Louella Schouten. In 1968, after meeting the love of her life, William, Sally moved to Corning New York where the couple lived for many years and raised their 6 children.
Sally spent several years working as a registered nurse at both Corning Hospital and Founders Pavillion where her co-workers took to calling her by her initials “SOB”, a title that she proudly embraced. In 1994, Sally and her husband moved to Haines City, Florida. Despite being retired she spent 16 years working as Chairman of the Social Committee in Davenport Mobile Estates. Sally was a very social person who enjoyed camping, doing crafts and reading. She was an avid shopper whose friends and family were often surprised by the unique gifts she would buy them from QVC.
She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Louella; son, Phillip; siblings, Tyler, Linda, Sheryl Ann and grandchildren, Randall “Bamm” and Miach. Sally is survived by her husband, of 56 years, William “Bill”; daughter, Lynnbeth (Greg); Son, James; daughters, Tracie, Leighanne and Jeriluanne (Richard); daughter-in-law, Beverly; 24 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as Nonny. She will be deeply missed by all.
The family will celebrate her life in a private memorial. Memorial donations may be made in Sally’s name to Vitas Hospice via: vitascommunityconnection.org
