As quoted by his daughter Laure, “I hope heaven is ready because the Moose has arrived.” Bob died peacefully at the age of 91 on February 15, 2025 with his wife Cheryl holding his hand. He was predeceased by his sister Gail Riley and his daughter Carol DePue. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, former wife Marie and four children: Laure Lovelace(Barry), Jayne Carlos(Joe), Dennis Black(Virna) and Denise Bohar. Bob was blessed with 10 grandchildren : Tracy and Bobby( Lovelace), Aaron and Wesley( DePue) Michael, Ryan , Matthew and Anthony(Carlos), Eric and Christopher (Bohar). He has several great grandchildren including Luciana, Theodore and Kylie and was fortunate to meet his great great granddaughter Aurora Rose last August.

Bob proudly served in the United States Air Force and became the undefeated heavyweight boxing champion for the Air Force. Although he did not finish high school, his intelligence and determination served him well. He was very successful with his building and developing business Esquire Homes in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. His last enterprise was 55 homes in the Monroe Acres development in Freemansburg, Pennsylvania.

He retired at the age of 55 so he could move to Siesta Key, Florida where he and Cheryl lived the dream. They enjoyed boating, waverunning, playing tennis at Bath & Racquet, bicycling and scuba diving. For 20 years he owned a motorhome and enjoyed traveling the country and meeting up with his friends in several RV clubs including the Pelican chapter of Newmar Kountry Klub. He was known for his humor, honesty, strength, compassion for animals, endless story telling and his everlasting belief in the “Man upstairs”.

Bob is very proud to be with his fellow veterans at the Sarasota National Cemetery. A military service and Celebration of Life will be scheduled in May.
