Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home
Isabel Alexandria von Hoerl Pack Rogers
February 13th, 1940 - January 10th, 2025
Born February 13, 1940 in Texas, California. Died January 10, 2025 in Portland, Oregon. Proceeded in death by her father Herschel Pack and mother Isabelle Pack.
Alex grew up in the heart of San Francisco and loved to walk the hilly city blocks. She worked for the federal government as a communication operator. A fiercely independent woman, Alex read about Portland and decided to move there. She lived for a time at the top of Vista Avenue and continue to walk the hills to shop in Portland, where she met by accident a young man who offered to help her with her overburdensome groceries. This meeting led to a new relationship with her new adopted family, and being an only child, a wonderful outpouring of love between the two.
Alex was a sweet and generous person. She will be missed by those who loved and cared for her. Thank you, Alex for teaching us the gift of reaching out to someone.

Our historic chapel, marked by its cornerstone placed on February 5th, 1901, has stood the test of time. Today, our memorial site spans 8 stories, approximately 7 miles of corridors of beautifully preserved architecture, and the largest mausoleum on the west coast, spanning 2.5 city blocks....
