Audrey was born in Bangor, Co Down, Northern Ireland, to John and Edna McGilton. She was raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland along with her younger brother, Derek. She married Roy Houston on 20 Sept.,1966. They originally lived in Northern Ireland moving to Dublin, Eire, in January 1981, eventually moving to America in Aug., 1987. She and her husband travelled the world on business, where they lived in Brazil, Japan, England, and China, before settling in their home again in Lake Oswego in Aug. 2003. Audrey brought up two sons, also working in the West Linn Food Bank at Willamette United Methodist Church and as a volunteer for the Lakewood Community Center in Lake Oswego. With her husband and brother she is also survived by sons Marc and wife Vicki and Adam and wife Shelley, all of West Linn, plus six grandchildren Alex, Micaela, Samantha, Sydney, Ian and Sean. Audrey was a kind compassionate, no fuss lady who was loved by anyone who met her. Audrey died peacefully from heart disease at Meridian Park Hospital Tualatin surrounded by her family. Her loss has been felt throughout the world. The Memorial Service for Audrey will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, at Clarke’s Methodist Church, 18773 S. Windy City Rd, Mulino, Oregon 97042.
