Thomas J. Murray
October 30th, 1934 - March 16th, 2025
In Loving Memory
Thomas Murray, 90, passed away peacefully at 1:00 a.m. on March 16, 2025. Born and raised in Natrona, Pennsylvania, Tom lived a full and remarkable life marked by dedication, family, and service.
Tom earned his degree in Chemical Engineering from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, before serving two years in the U.S. Army, where he humorously recalled "invading California." He later pursued and completed his MBA at Ohio State University, showcasing his commitment to education and growth.
In 1961, Tom married Margaret Gray, with whom he raised three children: Moira, Megan, and Michael. Their 30-year marriage was a testament to love and resilience until Margaret’s passing from breast cancer in 1991.
In 1996, Tom found happiness again when he married Doris Rogers, also widowed after a loving 27 year marriage. He became Papa Tom to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Together, they shared 28 joyful years, building a life filled with warmth and companionship.
A man of intellect and dry humor, Tom leaves behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his wife, Doris; his sister, Kathleen Zorman and her family; his sister-in-law Patricia Scroggins and her family; his daughters, Moira and Megan; and his son, Michael. His four cherished grandchildren (Nickie in Ireland, Peggy in North Carolina, Thomas in Columbia, and Marianna in Japan) and two beloved great-grandchildren also survive him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
