Chad Arnold Connor, 49, of Barnum, passed away after a short hospitalization, on March 13, 2025 at the University of Minnesota-Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.  

 

Chad was born in Cloquet, MN on November 20, 1975 to Maryann (Fisher) and John Connor Sr. He was one of 4 children. 

 

Chad graduated from Carlton High School and went on to do work for several years as a mechanic before opening his own business, Connor Contracting in Barnum over 20 years ago.  On March 19, 2022, Chad married Melinda Kortes and he became a stepfather to Melinda’s two girls. Chad enjoyed hunting and other outdoor activities. 

 

Chad is survived by his wife, Melinda Connor; stepdaughters, Abileen and Adisyn Erwin; father, John Connor; sisters, Laurie (Dennis) Meyer, and Michelle (Al) Fetters; nieces and nephews, Jaret Glader, Cassandra Fetters, Corey Fetters, John and James Connor; other relatives and friends.  

 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Maryann Connor, and his brother, John Connor.  

 

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 1-3 PM at Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. Cloquet, MN.    

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
