Dorothy (Dot) Jandt

Dorothy (Dot) Jandt passed away peacefully at her home in Venice, Florida on Friday, March 14, 2025. She was born on August 17th, 1943, in Highland Park, Ill. She was united in marriage on June 1, 1963, to Edward (Ed) Jandt.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Ed, a sister, Kathy Gianos and her husband Nick and brother Jack Calhoun and his wife Sharon. Dorothy had two daughters. Kathy Becker and her husband Jim. Kim Hast and her husband Mark. She had four grandsons. Chris (Chelsea) Becker, Tyson Hast, Nicolas (Kelly) Hast and Calvin Becker. In addition, she also had two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Tayes.
Throughout her life Dorothy enjoyed gardening, shopping, fishing, spending time with her dogs and most of all spending time with her family. We will celebrate her life with a small private family gathering.
In lieu of flowers family requests that donations be made to the Sarasota Humane Society or St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
