After a courageous battle with cancer, Antonio Ocampo-Osoria, 24, passed away surrounded by his family on March 7th, 2025 in Mesa, Arizona. His strength and resilience throughout his illness were an inspiration to all who knew him. Antonio was born in Los Angeles, California on September 17th, 2000 to parents Sergio and Maria Ocampo. He was the youngest of three children. Throughout his childhood Antonio loved playing football and riding his bicycle. Antonio graduated Mountain View High School in 2018 where he played on the school's varsity football team. Soon after graduation, Antonio courageously joined the Army National Guard in 2019 and served up until his passing. Right before his passing, Antonio was promoted to Sergeant Ocampo and received many recognitions. While in the guard Antonio studied to be a mechanic. Outside of the armed forces Antonio also held a civilian job. Antonio was a mechanic at the Gear Shop where he worked up until his passing. In his freetime Antonio had many passions. Antonio loved working on his trucks, taking joy rides on one of his many motorcycles, playing video games, playing the guitar and keyboard, enjoyed going to concerts, and spending time with his friends and family. Antonio was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Carlos and Clemencia Ocampo. He is survived by his father and mother Sergio and Maria Ocampo; his brother Sergio Ocampo ; his sister Rocio Ocampo (Andrade) ; his niece Lucy Andrade as well as his maternal grandparents and many loving family members and friends. Antonio’s absence leaves a void that can not be filled. Antonio’s warmth and unwavering love for those around him will be deeply missed. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. Tras una valiente batalla contra el cáncer, Antonio Ocampo-Osoria, de 24 años, falleció rodeado de su familia el 7 de Marzo de 2025 en Mesa, Arizona. Su fortaleza y resiliencia durante su enfermedad fueron una inspiración para todos los que lo conocieron. Antonio nació en Los Ángeles, California, el 17 de Septiembre de 2000, hijo de Sergio y María Ocampo. Era el menor de tres hijos. Durante su infancia, a Antonio le encantaba jugar al fútbol americano y montar en bicicleta. Se graduó de la preparatoria Mountain View en 2018, donde jugó en el equipo universitario de fútbol americano. Poco después de graduarse, Antonio se unió valientemente a la Guardia Nacional del Ejército en 2019 y sirvió hasta su fallecimiento. Justo antes de su fallecimiento, Antonio fue ascendido a Sargento Ocampo y recibió numerosos reconocimientos. Durante su servicio en la guardia, Antonio estudió mecánica. Fuera de las Fuerzas Armadas, Antonio también tuvo un trabajo civil. Fue mecánico en el Gear Shop, donde trabajó hasta su fallecimiento. En su tiempo libre, Antonio tenía muchas pasiones. Le encantaba trabajar en sus camionetas, dar paseos en una de sus muchas motocicletas, jugar videojuegos, tocar la guitarra y el teclado, disfrutar de los conciertos y pasar tiempo con sus amigos y familiares. A Antonio le precedieron en la muerte sus abuelos paternos, Carlos y Clemencia Ocampo. Le sobreviven sus padres, Sergio y María Ocampo; su hermano, Sergio Ocampo; su hermana, Rocío Ocampo (Andrade); su sobrina, Lucy Andrade; así como sus abuelos maternos y numerosos familiares y amigos queridos. La ausencia de Antonio deja un vacío indescriptible. Extrañaremos profundamente la calidez y el amor inquebrantable de Antonio por quienes lo rodeaban. Que su recuerdo traiga consuelo a todos los que lo conocieron.

 

A visitation will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 1-4pm at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, 10:00am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 30 W. 1st Street, Mesa followed by burial at Queen of Heaven cemetery, Mesa
