Mary G. Edwards passed away in Thornton, Colorado on March 16, 2025. She was born in Moral, Nebraska to Ezequiel Gonzalez and Nicasia Veloz. She was the oldest of 8 children. She was the mother to Alma Nickie Melendez, Monica Soto (decreased), Susan Yankton (deceased), Charles Abad (deceased) and George Abad Jr. Grandmother to Alejandro Antonio Melendez, Amelia Aguirre, Santos, Abel, Ramiro and Rodrigo Soto, Merina CDeBaca, Melissa and Phillip Yankton, Paul Abeyta (deceased), James Abad (deceased), Jeffrey Davis, Sunshine Abad, Denise Tucson and Eileen Abad. She was also a Great and Great Great Grandmother to several other important children in her life. She was also an Aunt to many important individuals with their families. She loved to go to Central City and sometimes Bingo. She was a hard-working farm raised woman. She was very religious and had a full altar in her bedroom that she prayed to every night before she went to sleep. She was strong, generous and kind in her own to way to all that had the pleasure of meeting her. One of her greatest achievements was assisting several families start their lives in the USA with legal documentation. She will be missed by all family and friends. She will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.
Mary G. Edwards falleció en Thornton, Colorado, el 16 de marzo de 2025. Nació en Moral, Nebraska, hija de Ezequiel Gonzalez y Nicasia Veloz. Era la mayor de 8 hijos. Era madre de Alma Nickie Melendez, Monica Soto (fallecida), Susan Yankton (fallecida), Charles Abad (fallecido) y George Abad Jr. Abuela de Alejandro Antonio Melendez, Amelia Aguirre, Santos, Abel, Ramiro y Rodrigo Soto, Merina CDeBaca, Melissa y Phillip Yankton, Paul Abeyta (fallecido), James Abad (fallecido), Jeffrey Davis, Sunshine Abad, Denise Tucson y Eileen Abad. También fue tatarabuela y tatarabuela de varios otros niños importantes en su vida. También era tía de muchas personas importantes con sus familias. Le encantaba ir a Central City y, a veces, al Bingo. Era una mujer criada en una granja y muy trabajadora. Era muy religiosa y tenía un altar lleno en su dormitorio al que rezaba todas las noches antes de dormir. Era fuerte, generosa y amable, a su manera, con todos los que tuvieron el placer de conocerla. Uno de sus mayores logros fue ayudar a varias familias a establecerse en Estados Unidos con la documentación legal. Todos sus familiares y amigos la extrañarán. Siempre estará en nuestros corazones y jamás la olvidaremos.
