Yvonne peacefully passed away on March 11th, 2025, at 61 years old. She was born on July 19th, 1963, in La Mirada, CA, to Gerald F. Shoup and Helen Jean Barnds. Yvonne moved to Colorado in 1969. She has two sisters, Vic Von Leinen and Gail Prichard. She was married to Richard Phillips for 28 years until February 2021 when he was called home to the Lord. She was a dedicated and loving mother to Joshua Rios and daughter-in-law Angelica Aragon. She cherished her family and was a constant source of support and love. She was a proud grandmother to 6 grandchildren: Izabella Ayala-Rios , Analeigha Rios, Randy Rios, Leyiah Mentz-Rios, Theresa Kaytlin Rios, and Joziah Rios. Yvonne was also a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Yvonne and Rich had an interior decorating business and were also karaoke DJs a few nights out of the week. She loved to sing and be in the spotlight. She won the Ms. Corona pageant in 1987 as she did modeling as well. She was a very bright, courageous, and intelligent soul. Yvonne always had a smile on her face no matter what she was going through. She always had the best advice or was just willing to listen and be someone you could talk to. She loved Luna, our family dog, so much and would feed her till she was stuffed. Her laughter, sense of humor, love, and great taste in music will be profoundly missed!
