Cynthia Kay Loder
April 13th, 1954 - March 24th, 2025
Cynthia Kay Loder was the heart of our family, a guiding light whose love, creativity, and strength shaped the lives of those around her. She was born to Mary “Molly” Lee Harrell and Olan Ray Harrell and grew up alongside her beloved sisters, Sandra Ray, Delinda Gay, and Mary Suzanne.
She built a beautiful life with her husband, Bill Loder, and together they raised a loving family. She was the devoted mother of Mary, Ben, Kim, and Jenny, and with the same warmth and care to their spouses, Joe, Aly, and JD. Her love extended to her cherished grandchildren—Will, Eddie, Olivia, Tommy, and Elliot—and her great-grandchild, Zion, along with his mother, Ophilia.
Our Gigi, a name she had recently adopted with joy, was our role model, our friend, our sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was just beginning her journey as a world-traveler, living life with an energy and health that inspired us all. Yet, with the uncertainty of all things, she was taken from us too soon by a sudden cardiac event.
Cynthia was an influential teacher in the Mesa Public School system for over 15 years. She engineered a safe, creative, and inquisitive environment. An artist as well, she was able to create crafts, clothing, and costumes that would leave you breathless with her talents. She created traditions not only for her family but her entire neighborhood. Most importantly, she shaped some of the most compassionate and thoughtful human beings, leaving behind a legacy that will guide us as we step forward into this next chapter without her.
We love you, Gigi. Your example will forever light our way.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Meldrum Mortuary 52 N Macdonald Mesa, AZ 85201 at 10:00 am.
