Elaine Wickwire of Venice, Florida passed away on April 1, 2025 at the age of 67.  She was born on November 6, 1957 in Bradford, Pennsylvania.  Elaine was a former HCV Specialist for Sarasota County Housing and retired in 2023. She received her associate’s degree from Penn State and bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Fred Wickwire of Venice, Florida; two sons, Brian Wickwire of Venice, Florida, Matt (Chelsea) Wickwire of Venice, Florida; a sister, Sheila (Mark ) Williams of Tucker, Georgia and a granddaughter, Emily Rose also of Venice. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Anderson; her father, Charles G. Rose and her brother, Tom McAndrew.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s residence.  Memorial donations may be made to the Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, 901Tamiami Trail S., Ste A2, Venice, Florida 34285. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.  To send a memory or condolence please visit www.farleyfuneralhome.com.
