Cecil Carl Stevens, Jr., 73, of Irmo, South Carolina passed away March 28, 2025. He was born on October 11, 1951, in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Cecil and Margaret (Mitchum) Stevens.
Cecil was also known as Chewpie and Jaws. He was a selfless person and always made sure that everyone had everything they needed. Cecil grew up in Olympia, Class of 1970. He played football, basketball and ran track during his high school years at Olympia. He loved the Carolina Gamecocks basketball and football teams. Cecil loved his family very much. He had a close bond with each and every family member. Our beloved Jaws will be greatly missed.
Cecil is survived by his wife, Patricia Stevens; his two children, Deanna Keisler (Troy) and Trey Stevens (Katia); his grandchildren, Kody Keisler, Bree Bise (Blake), Kaley Keisler, Autumn Keisler, Nick Keisler, Ally Keisler, Trey Stevens, Michael Stevens, Eric Stevens, and Darwin; his great grandchildren, Marley Keisler, Kyleigh Keisler, Easton Painter, Beckett Bise, Gunner Bise, Kayden Keisler, Layla Keisler, and Memphis Keisler; his siblings, Melissa Bunch (Jerry), Richard Stevens (Charlotte), Johnny Stevens, and Scott Stevens (Melanie); and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Margaret Stevens.
The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home on April 5th, 2025 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial service will be at Olympia Cemetery following the funeral service.
