Gary Raymond Rooplal, 62, of Kissimmee, FL, passed away on March 27, 2025. He was born on January 29, 1963, in Trinidad & Tobago. In 2019, he moved to Florida from Queens, NY, after a dedicated career in law enforcement and security. Gary served as a police officer in Trinidad & Tobago for three years before transitioning to private security. He worked for 17 years at North Shore Hebrew Academy in Great Neck, Long Island, until his retirement in 2019. He was a man of strong faith and spirituality. 

Gary found joy in cooking, gardening, watching TV, dining out at various restaurants to explore new cuisines, and shopping for groceries and cooking appliances. Most importantly he dedicated his life to taking care of his wife and children. Known for his upbeat personality, Gary was a cheerful and sociable individual who easily made friends and engaged in lively conversations with anyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nirmalla; mother, Carmen Rooplal; and his brother, Amar. Gary is survived by his children, Justin and Nikita; brothers, Avin, Ravi, and Neil; and sisters, Mela and Leena. He will be tremendously missed by all.

A service will be held at 9:00 a.m., followed by a visitation 10:30 to 11:30 am, all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care Haines City. The final service and cremation will take place at 12:00 p.m. at 2175 S 30th St, Haines City, FL.
