In Loving Memory

Tracy W. Bell, III, Born on May 12, 1959, in Columbia, SC, was the beloved son of the late William Bell, Jr. and Clara G. Rone. He transitioned to eternal rest on April 2, 2025, at the age of 65.

From a young age, Tracy embraced his faith by accepting Jesus Christ into his life. He became a cherished member of the Second Nazareth Baptist Church on April 21, 2002, during the leadership of the late Rev. J. Walter Hills, I. Within his church community, he made lasting contributions through his involvement with the Culinary Ministry and his enthusiastic participation in the annual Men’s Ministry Fish Fry, where his culinary skills shone.

Tracy pursued his education in the Richland County School District One and proudly graduated from Eau Claire High School in the class of 1976. His passion for music led him to South Carolina State University, where he showcased his talent as a drummer in the esteemed Marching 101. Shortly after commencing his studies, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he developed his skills as a master chef.

An active and dedicated member of his community, Tracy lent his talents to numerous organizations and served as a former SC Grand Lodge Officer and 3rd degree Master Mason. His kindness and willingness to help others left a positive impact on those around him.

Throughout his career, Tracy showcased his culinary expertise in various renowned restaurants across Columbia. In later years, he transitioned to working as a CDL driver, continuing to provide for his family despite health challenges.

Tracy is preceded in death by his beloved parents. He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory and celebrate his life: his daughter, Siretta T. Bell; son, De’Jarous M. Bell; sister, Courtney M. Rone; along with a multitude of relatives and friends whose lives he touched profoundly.

Tracy W. Bell, III will be remembered for his warmth, gentleness, and the joy he spread wherever he went. His legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
