June Alyce Morse, devoted wife, mom, and grandma, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 69 on April 4, 2025, at her home.

June was born June 24, 1955 in Grand Rapids, MN to Edwin and Aileen (Mattson) Makela. She grew up in Elmer, MN helping work on her family’s farm throughout her childhood and enjoyed cheerleading during high school. She graduated from Toivola-Meadowlands High School in 1973. Upon graduation, June worked at the General Store in Hibbing, MN. She then went on to work and retire from Schneiderman’s Furniture where she was the customer service manager.

June married Clyde Morse Jr. on October 20th, 1973 in Meadowlands, MN where they built a home and raised their three children. June was a dedicated caregiver for several family members including her mother and most recently, her husband Clyde. June lived life to the fullest, always having a smile on her face, open arms to welcome you and was willing to help anyone. June was an active, life-long member of First Lutheran Church in Meadowlands and a member of WELCA and the church council. She was also a member of the T-M Development Board, the Meadowlands Manor Board, and numerous other community activities. She enjoyed her weekly bowling league with new and old friends along with frequent coffee visits at the Victory Coffee House. She loved to travel with her family, making wonderful lasting memories, gardening, reading, going for walks, baking (especially at Christmas), and cherished spending time with family and friends. Most of all, June took great joy in being able to be present and active in her grandchildren’s lives.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Clyde Morse Jr.; sons, Scott (Melissa) Morse, Derek (Amber) Morse; daughter, Stacy (Jay) Stevens; grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Madelyn, Abbygayle, Jacob, Parker, Benjamin, Grant, and Paige; step-grandchildren, Chase and Hanna; sisters, Judith (Michael) Simons, Debbie (Brent) Donaldson, and Donna (David) Hill; in-laws, Phillip (Kaylyn) Morse, Kathy (Randy) Anderson, Barbara Griswold, and James McMillan; numerous other relatives and friends.
