Thomas Ansel Bell, 93, of Oregon City, Ore., passed away peacefully in his home on April 7, 2015. He was born Jan. 13, 1922, in Oregon City, Ore. to Gertrude and Thomas Wayne Bell. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Virginia (Cunningham) Bell. His 7 children, Kathleen, Patrick, David, Eileen, Kevin, Colleen and Maureen, and 28 grandchildren survive him. A service will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church located at 417 Washington St., Oregon City, Ore., on April 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. Service Information

At Wilhelm's Portland Memorial, we have a rich history dating back to 1901 when we became the first crematory west of the Mississippi River, known then as The Portland Cremation Association. Our historic chapel, marked by its cornerstone placed on February 5th, 1901, has stood the test of time. Today, our memorial site spans 8 stories, approximately 7 miles of corridors of beautifully preserved architecture, and the largest mausoleum on the west coast, spanning 2.5 city blocks....
