Edward Vinson Williams
July 12th, 1935 - April 8th, 2025
Edward “Ed” V. Williams of Sarasota passed away on April 8, 2025 at the age of 89. He was born on July 12, 1935 in Orlando, Florida and moved to Sarasota in 2005 from State College, PA. Ed was a SP5 in the US Army and served as a Russian translator.
He is survived by his sister, Melissa Williams Kirkindall and brother-in-law, Arthur Sanford Kirkindall both of Madison, Alabama and niece Elizabeth Anne Weaver of Austin, Texas. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn Vinson Williams and Adiel Blenus Williams.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 1:30PM.
