Bobby G. Sparks
August 29th, 1932 - April 8th, 2025
Bobby Glen Sparks was born on August 29,1932 and past way on April 8, 2025. He was born & raised in Spindale North Carolina. After graduating high school, he joined the Navy and was stationed in Hawaii. After leaving military service, he worked as an administrator with the Pearl Harbor Shipyard. While there, he married and had two sons, Bryant and Michael. He later divorced and married Freida, who also was from Spindale in 1963. They had a son Greg who proceeded him in death. In 1971, he took a job offer as an administrative officer at the Post Graduate School until retiring in 1995. Once in Monterey he volunteered for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am for 35 years. After retiring as a marshal, he became the head of the Support the Troops Tent at the AT&T Pro Am. He also was a Marshall for all five US Opens and the last two he was the head of scheduling for the marshals. He also was a referee, and head referee for women's softball tournaments. He gave a lot of his time and heart to volunteering. He will be deeply missed, may he rest in peace.

Memorial service will be Monday, April 21, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Mission Mortuary Seaside Chapel, 1915 Ord Grove Ave. Seaside, CA 93955.
