Mary Ellen Johnson

Mary Ellen Johnson (Kirby), born on July 12, 1950, passed away peacefully on April 10th, 2025. She was a devoted mother, a beloved sister, a proud grandmother, and a steady, quiet presence whose kindness and strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.Mary is survived by her daughter, Mal Russell, and son-in-law, Charlie, along with her grandson, Leo; and her son, Alex Johnson, and his fiancée, Nolin Wagner and her sister Jane Piotraschke. She was deeply proud of her family and took joy in their lives, always offering love, support, and a warm place to land.She is now reunited with her parents, Marion E Kirby, John F Kirby, and her sister, Kathleen M Revak—an eternal embrace we know brought her peace.She was someone who always wanted to have fun—light-hearted, full of warmth, and genuinely interested in the people around her. She was constantly curious about where all the action was and made sure she was part of it.She had a way of making people feel special—asking questions, sharing a laugh, and always giving people a bit of a hard time in the most loving way.A celebration of her life will be held this summer—a chance to share stories, laughter, and the love she gave so freely.
