February 11th, 1935 - April 7th, 2025
Frances Greene Carter, 90, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025. She was raised in Chase City, VA and attended Averett College in Danville, Va. She had a long and dedicated career in the transportation industry where she was the first female member of the Southern Traffic League. She was a Vice President at Nationwide Traffic Service Bureau in Miami. She taught classes on Transportation Management at Florida International University. After leaving private sector, she was employed and retired from government services (DCSA). She was proceeded in death by her husband of 23 years, Charles M Landers, and her husband of 35 years, Ray Carter. She is survived by 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. A small private memorial service was held at her home on April 10, 2025.
