James Monnell Nielsen

September 27, 1964 – March 28th, 2025

One thing have I desired of the Lord; that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple. Psalm 27:4

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, brother, and friend to anyone that met him. James passed away peacefully with his wife by his side.  He was a man that loved life, adventure and his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 15 years of marriage, Tara Nielsen; His two children Joshua Nielsen, Hunter Nielsen; stepchildren Alexander Parker, Logan Parker and his Sisters Melanie Amaya and Angie Head.

James was an entrepreneur at best. He loved being a software consultant working projects and traveling in his earlier work career. This field of work brought him the opportunity to meet and grow his colleagues and lasting friendships. He was excited for his next adventure working for Rainbird again with a homebase employment. James had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, jet skis and island hopping. He loved to travel the Caribbean. His favorite place was the Cayman Islands where we enjoyed his 50th Birthday and celebrated with close friends and his son. If there was an adventure to be had, James would be up for it. He was an extremely outgoing and lovable guy.

If you had ever met James, you would never forget him. He was the most loving, caring person with a smile that could light up any space. If you were having a difficult day, he would lift your spirits in an instant.  His devotion to his firm belief in God supported him even when he was struggling and gave him peace. We truly lost a beautiful soul, and we will never forget you and the love you showed us. We will keep your memories alive. “He is now at peace in the arms of his Savior.”
