Darin Zink, 59, a lifelong resident of Florida, passed away on April 17, 2025. He was born on March 11, 1966, in Winter Haven, FL to Albert E. and Sara J. Stewart Zink. Darin proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, earning several decorations including the Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Marksman Badge with M16 Rifle Bar, Sharpshooter Badge with Hand Grenade Bar, and the Mechanic Badge. A skilled electrician by trade, Darin was a true handyman and jack of all trades. He was of the Southern Baptist faith.

Darin was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, camping, and playing horseshoes. He had a passion for woodworking and took great pride in creating with his hands. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Darin was a simple man, known for his direct nature, big heart, and willingness to help anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert E. Zink; brother, Raymond Dale Zink; and sister, Roxanne Zink. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 36 years, Wendy Pierce; his mother, Sara J. Zink; sons, Ram Pierce and AJ Zink and wife, Michelle; brothers, Curtis Weldon Zink, Thomas Henry Zink, and Zane Zachary Zink; and grandchildren, Albert Colton Zink and Hailee Ann Zink.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Darin will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport, FL.
