Atkins-Northland Funeral Home
Larry Granlund
March 24th, 1956 - April 17th, 2025
Larry Granlund passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2025, due to complications from pneumonia. Larry was born in 1956, in Moose Lake, MN, to Verna (Toumi) and Elmer Granlund.
Larry graduated from Cromwell High School. After high school, Larry completed three years of apprenticeship for painters and held a certificate as a journeyman painter. Unfortunately, on May 11, 1980, Larry was in a terrible motorcycle accident before he could begin his career. After many months in the hospital, Larry moved home to the family dairy farm where he lived out his remaining years.
Larry’s interest in the stock market kept him financially independent, and he would often share his tips with his nephews. He also loved gardening and baking.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Verna; his sister, Karen (Al) Carlson; and his brother, Brian Granlund.
He is survived by his brother, Robert (Teri) Granlund; nieces and nephews, Lynn (Bill) Simmons, Neil (Mary) Granlund, and Ryan (Audriana) Granlund; and three great-nephews.
The family will have a private burial at a later date. Arrangements by Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet, MN.
