David Sheldon Nichols

David Sheldon Nichols, age 65, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025. Born in Mesa, Arizona, David was a hardworking and dedicated man with inspiring work ethics and a talent for steel fabrication. “Dave”, as he was called by many who loved him, established an inspiring career in the steel industry that spanned several decades.

David possessed a deep love for adventure and the outdoors. He found immense joy in the simple beauty of nature, particularly cherishing the quiet moments like watching the sunrise from a peaceful campsite. His loyal canine adventure companion, Dallas, was truly pampered and held a special place in his heart.

A selfless and humble man, David was known for his caring, light-hearted nature and unwavering commitment to putting others before himself. He was a loyal friend to many, maintaining deep connections with those who knew him, throughout his life. He also poured his heart and talent for craftsmanship into creating homes for his family over the years, building two beautiful homes, one in Arizona and another in Tennessee.

David is survived by his four children, Cassie, Justin, Zach, and Beto, as well as his four cherished grandchildren, Isabella, Sophia, Avery, and Samuel, and his mother Ann. David was preceded in death by his father, Sheldon.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate David's life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 2618 N. Lindsay Road, Mesa, AZ 85213. Following the memorial service, a burial site service will be held at the Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N. Center St., Mesa, AZ 85201, beginning at 11:30 am.

David's legacy of hard work, selflessness, and love for his family and the outdoors will be deeply cherished by all who knew him.
