Virginia L. Godshall
January 29th, 1938 - April 22nd, 2025
In Loving Memory
Virginia Godshall, 87, died in her home on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Born on January 29, 1938 in Lancaster, SC, to Euel and Marie Lloyd, Virginia was predeceased by her loving husband, Rupert (Rick) Godshall; her daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Hatfield; and siblings, Euel Lloyd, Jr., Ruby Lloyd Carnes, Edith Lloyd Marshall, and Juanita Lloyd Langley.
Virginia attended the University of South Carolina, yet was a life-long Clemson Tigers fan. A faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Virginia served the church tirelessly for many years, and was active in the Lower Richland community. An avid traveler, Virginia, Rick and their family, and later Virginia and her friends, trotted the globe. Where her trips did not take Virginia, her imagination and avid reading did. She was conversant on almost any topic, quick-witted, and shared freely of her wisdom and experiences. Virginia's laughter, dry-humor, and up-for-anything attitude is already sorely missed!
Surviving are her beloved granddaughters, Ava (Carson) Meena and Abigail Hatfield; "little buddies", great-grandsons, Calahan and Monroe Meena; stepson, Rad Godshall; stepdaughter, Kerri Godshall Scott; granddaughter, Melissa Scott Siar (Kirk); great-granddaughter, Elliana Scott; cherished and devoted niece, Linda Poag; and many friends and extended family members. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
