Kathryn “Kitty” Blow, 89, formerly of Burlington and South Hero, Vermont passed away in Venice, Florida, surrounded by her family on April 24, 2025. Kitty was born on December 1, 1935 to her parents, Raymond and Alice (Reagan) Brunelle of Burlington, VT.

Kitty had 4 siblings: Robert, Richard, Ronnie and Sandy, each being 5 years apart and where she was the second oldest in the family. Robert and Kitty were responsible for delivering groceries during their elementary school lunch break from her parents local grocery store in Burlington, Brunelle’s Market. Kitty also had other duties at the Market besides delivering groceries. She was also very active in her high school community, where she played trumpet in the school band, basketball for all four years and served as a class officer. She married her high school sweetheart, Armand Blow on July 5th, 1954, which was during the month after she graduated from Cathedral High School. This city girl was then immersed into the country life, where Armand lived on the family farm in South Hero, VT. Their 1st daughter, Debbie, was born in December of 1955, after which this young family moved to New York, where Armand worked on major construction projects. During this period they continued growing their family with the births of their children Chris and Diane. After the St. Lawrence Seaway and Niagara Falls power projects were completed, they moved back to the family farm in South Hero, where Kitty & Armand then had 2 more children, Donna & Mark. Kitty then started working at the Wire Factory in South Hero and continued in that field at Supertemp in Colchester, and was then employed at Edlund, where she met her favorite boss, Tony. They also purchased a dairy farm in South Hero, where Kitty became an exceptional gardener and also made delicious baked goods. Armand also constructed a sugar house, boiled sap and canned maple syrup, where afterwards Kitty would sell it to local residents for family vacation money. Armand and Kitty were fast friends with Jim & Jane as well as Barb & Gary. They would gather at the Potvin camp in Grand Isle and spend their summer time activities on the water together. Kitty and Armand ultimately retired to live in Florida, where they initially settled in Sun City where her brother Bob lived. They both volunteered at the local hospital regularly and playing golf was also a big part of their lives. They were both in golf leagues, with Kitty winning many tournaments. They later moved to Venice, Florida where Kitty continued golfing, gardening with her friend Pat, and playing bingo weekly. Kitty was the ringleader of many family gatherings and loved being a part of games and

activities. She had the biggest heart and always loved having her family around her. Kitty was also a hard core sports fan and was the winner of many company football pools. She was the person who always turned her television to any sports related game at any given time. She was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox, and the NY Giants, but eventually adopted the Tampa Bay teams after retiring to Florida. The real true love of her life was her husband Armand, and the family they created together. The bond they had is instilled in their children to this day. It was truly a beautiful gift. Kathryn is survived by her children Deborah Morgan of Venice, FL, Chris (Eileen) Blow of Grand Isle, VT, Diane (Brian) Martin of Williston, VT, Donna (David) Daigle of Ellenton, FL, Mark (Michelle) Blow of Saratoga Springs, NY, her “3rd son” Jimmy (Jeri) Baker of South Hero, VT, her brother Richard Brunelle of South Burlington, VT, and her sister Sandy Marcotte of Williston, VT. She is predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Armand, her parents Raymond & Alice Brunelle, her brothers Robert & Ronnie Brunelle, her son in-law Paul Morgan, her granddaughter Alysia Duncanson, and her great grandson TJ Duncanson. She leaves 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

A mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1301Center Road, Venice, FL on Monday, May 5, at 10:00AM.
