Simon Americo Oviol Leidenz

Con profundo dolor e inmenso amor, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Simón Américo Oviol Leidenz, quien partió de esta vida el 29 de abril de 2025, en Orlando, Florida, a la edad de 72 años.

Simón nació el 5 de julio de 1952 en Maracaibo, Venezuela. Padre devoto, hombre de fe y firme defensor de los valores cristianos catolicos, dedicó su vida a su familia, su Iglesia y sus principios. Trabajó como Contador en la institución gubernamental Inces, donde fue reconocido por su disciplina e integridad.

Su mayor alegría era pasar tiempo con sus hijos —Ana, Juan, Elías, Andrés, Lucía y Diego— y sus queridos nietos Carlos, Juan D, Andrés E, Miranda, Mia, Luciana, Lucca, Paul, Matteo, Aaron, Paulette, Sebastián, Elena, Camille y Melissa. El amor de Simón por su familia solo era superado por su gran amor por Dios.

Simón tenía un espíritu apacible y encontraba belleza en las bendiciones más simples e importantes de la vida: rezar el Rosario, pescar, ir a la playa, contemplar el atardecer; era un poeta y un comico de primera, con chistes graciosos nos alegraba la vida. Honraba y nos enseno a honrar a la Virgen María de Guadalupe. Como Católico devoto, se mantuvo firme como defensor de la Iglesia fundada por Cristo y sostuvo las tradiciones y valores de la familia cristiana con una fe inquebrantable.

Su legado es de amor, protección y convicción, de vivir una vida profundamente arraigada en la devoción y guiada por la fe.

Será recordado con cariño y admiración por todos los que lo conocieron, y permanecerá en nuestros corazones para siempre. Su familia encuentra consuelo al saber que descansa en el cielo en los brazos de nuestro Padre Eterno.

La familia recibira a amigos desde las 8:30 am hasta las 9:30am.  Se celebrará una Misa funeral el lunes 5 de mayo de 2025 a las 9:30 am en Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Boulevard, Winter Haven, FL 33881, seguida del entierro en Oak Hill Burial Park en Lakeland, FL. Todos son bienvenidos a asistir y celebrar la vida de Simón.

It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of Simon Americo Oviol Leidenz, who departed this life on April 29, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, at the age of 72.

Simon was born on July 5, 1952, in Maracaibo, Venezuela. A devoted father, a man of faith, and a steadfast protector of Christian Catholics values, he dedicated his life to his family, his Church, and his principles. He served as an accountant at the government institution Inces, where he was known for his discipline and integrity.

His greatest joy came from spending time with his children—Ana, Juan, Elias, Andres, Lucia, and Diego—and his beloved grandchildren Carlos, Juan D, Andres E, Miranda, Mia, Luciana, Lucca, Paul, Matteo, Aaron, Paulette, Sebastian, Elena, Camille and Melissa. Simon’s love for his family was surpassed only by his love for God.

Simon had a peaceful spirit and found beauty in the simplest blessings of life: praying the Rosary, fishing, the beach, watching the sunset, he was a poet and first-class jokester, he brought joy to our lives with his jokes. He honored and taught us to honor the Virgin Mary of Guadalupe. A devoted Catholic, he stood firmly as a defender of the Church founded by Christ and upheld the traditions and values of the Christian family with unwavering faith.

His legacy is one of love, protection, and conviction—of living a life deeply rooted in devotion and guided by faith.

He will be remembered with affection and admiration by all who knew him, and he will remain in our hearts forever, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is resting in heaven in our eternal father's arms. 

The family will receive friends from 8:30am until 9:30 am.  A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 9:30am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Boulevard, Winter Haven, FL 33881, followed by burial at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland, FL. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Simon’s life.
