Scarlett Elizabeth Glover, 83, of Winter Haven, FL, passed away on April 30, 2025, at Spring Lake Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on May 5, 1941, in Vidalia, GA, Scarlett moved to Winter Haven in 1962 from Lakeland, FL, and became a beloved member of the community.
A dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse, Scarlett served many years at Gessler Clinic in Winter Haven. Her passion for nursing extended to the baseball field, where she worked as a nurse for the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians during their Spring Training in Winter Haven. An avid baseball enthusiast, Scarlett was a devoted Tampa Bay Rays fan.
Scarlett was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven. She is survived by her nephews, Dennis Jackson of Dahlonega, GA, and Ray Jackson of St. Augustine, FL, and her sister-in-law, Mary Jackson of Jacksonville, FL and long-time friend, Karen McCrinnon.
Scarlett’s warmth, compassion, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.
