Dr. Vincent Carl Scuzzo, 84, of Venice, Florida passed away on May 5, 2025. Born on March 30, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri, Vince was the beloved son of Dr. Carl and Vera Scuzzo. He was survived by beloved wife Patsy Scuzzo; daughters Teresa Johnson (Dan), Tina Hassler (Tim), Lisa Scuzzo (Steve), Danielle Cullen (Darragh), and Elizabeth Radigan (Doug); grandchildren Nick Johnson, Meg Ilges, Kate Hassler, Anna Hassler, Samantha Glenn, Parker Glenn, Dylan Glenn, Aidan Cullen, Rylan Cullen, and Taeghan Cullen.
After graduating medical school at St. Louis University, he served his country as a Lieutenant Commander in the Naval Medical Corps during the Vietnam War. He then went on to become a successful colon and rectal surgeon, practicing in South Bend, Indiana. After retirement he moved to Venice, Florida where he enjoyed playing golf at Plantation Golf and Country Club, spending time with close friends, fishing, rooting on the St. Louis Cardinals, and solving daily crossword puzzles. While at the club, he was always willing to share his wisdom regarding the perfect golf swing. His witty charm and sense of humor will be missed.
