It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel Moreira Andrade on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at age 69 in West Melbourne, Florida.

Manuel will be deeply missed by all of his family; his children and grandchildren, siblings, and all of his friends. He is survived by his son Tome Andrade and daughters Jillian, Angelina, and Natalia; daughter Teresa Andrade (Patrick) and their daughter Karlie, and son Denis Andrade. He is also survived by his siblings: Antonio(Ines)Andrade, Jorgina (Jose) Moreira, Adelina (Ronald)Crivello, Ines Andrade, and Jose Andrade. Manuel also leaves behind his nephews and nieces: Denny, Christina, and David Andrade; Paul, Michael, and Robert Moreira; Thomas and Miguel Crivello; Sophia, Anabela, and David Almeida; Isaac and Jacob Andrade.

Manuel was born in Santa Barbara Parish, Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal. Later upon completion of his military service in 1977, Manuel immigrated to join his family in Massachusetts, United States of America.

Manuel worked and played hard. From a very young age he become employed at the NATO Loran satellite station located in Santa Maria as a groundskeeper and gardener, until his military draft to serve in the Portuguese National Army. Manuel was stationed at the neighboring island of Sao Miguel for the most part of his service terminating his military duty at the island of Santa Maria.

Manuel enjoyed fishing and was employed in the fishing industry. He worked as a professional fish cutter until his retirement age. Manuel also enjoyed the outdoors; he held summer part-time jobs in the landscaping industry. He pried himself of keeping his community beautiful. Manuel enjoyed boating and fishing and he had many wonderful times with his family on his boat in the ocean waves. He also enjoyed his hobbies of raising rabbits, chicken, and gardening on his backyard, where he enjoyed being surrounded by a lush garden of fruit trees and vegetables.

Manuel raised his children in Massachusetts where he resided for thirty eight years, he later moved to Florida where he resided for the remaining ten years of his life.
