Teresa “Terry” Anne Zarnstorff, age 70, of Jefferson, Wisconsin, went home to everlasting life with her Lord on Saturday, May 10, 2025, after a fierce struggle with vascular dementia.
Born on October 17, 1954 to Robert and Inez Zarnstorff in Fort Atkinson, Terry was baptized into her Christian faith on November 28th, 1954. She was a humble and kind soul that loved her family and her Lord throughout her life. She was confirmed on May 5, 1968 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Cold Spring, WI. Later on, she continued to grow in faith, as a member at Bethany Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, WI.
For elementary school she attended St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran School in Fort Atkinson and for secondary education she attended Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills, graduating in 1972. After graduating, Terry worked many years, first in the agricultural industry and later in a small electronics firm. She was a hard worker, rarely missing a day of work.
For hobbies, Terry loved jigsaw puzzles and was a member of Stone School 4-H club. She participated in many projects but excelled in crocheting and knitting. Later, she used her talents to create many beautiful afghans for family wedding gifts and baby blankets for many nieces and nephews. During her teen years Terry was a highly sought-after babysitter for families in her rural neighborhood.
Terry will be remembered for her quiet, loving, and generous heart, always willing to put the needs of others before her own.
Terry is survived by her Siblings, Steven (Linda) Zarnstorff, Fort Atkinson; Susan (Ed) Freson, Lake Mills; Thomas (Cindy) Zarnstorff, Anchorage, AK; Ronald Zarnstorff, OH; Laura (Carl) Loppnow, Lake Mills; Larry Zarnstorff, Necedah; Kris (Jeff) Truman, Necedah; her Sister-In-Law, Patricia Zarnstorff; her nephews & nieces and their families, Jon(Kim) Zarnstorff, Matthew Zarnstorff, Robert Zarnstorff, Joe (Terri) Freson, Heidi (Matt) Janz, Tyson (Rachel) Zarnstorff, Cara (Chris) Ewings, Trevor Zarnstorff, Claire Zarnstorff, Hannah Zarnstorff, Joe Petrick, Mallory (James) Quatro, Travis (Casey) Riggs, Cory (Anne) Loppnow, Kyle (Tera) Loppnow, Elizabeth Loppnow, Jessica (Austin) Paddinger, Amanda Truman(Jacob Darst), Emilee Truman, and many cherished great nieces and nephews.

We thank her pastor, Rev. Ethan Steinbrenner for his prayerful words of comfort and peace to Terry, reminding her of God’s gift of salvation, through Christ her Savior.
We cannot express enough gratitude for the loving care that our sister received in her final weeks by the exceptional staff at Alden Estates in Jefferson and the compassionate nurses and aides of St. Croix hospice.

We Entrusted Teresa Zarnstorff's Care To
Nitardy Funeral Homes - Fort Atkinson
We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community for over 90 years, when Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. In 1984, his son Russ knew it was time to offer professional, compassionate services to the Fort Atkinson community, and we constructed a new funeral home to address its needs. We feel so fortunate to be a part of the community, and have grown our family alongside the community for three generations....
