Helmut J. Hein, 83 of Columbia, South Carolina, was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior May 10, 2025.
Funeral services and interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road on May 17, 2025 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Bates officiating.
Helmut was born on June 5, 1941 in Aschaffenburg, Germany, to the late Wilhelm Hein and Anna (Kleissner).
Helmut is survived by his loving wife, Ursula; daughters, Christiane Karpf and Susanne Löffner; grandchildren, Mareike, Max, Simon, Lene, Lisa, and Lars. He is also survived by great grandchildren, Jan, Tim, Emelie and Leon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilhelm Hein and Anna (Kleissner) and his brother, Roland Hein.
