Rita O'Doherty
November 25th, 1933 - May 1st, 2025
Rita O’Doherty passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and family. Born to Jesus and Luz Anguiano,
Rita was one of ten siblings and is now reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, James Michael, who preceded her in death on May 6, 2000.
She was also preceded by her siblings Angelo, Ermelinda, Mike, Julia, Charlotte, Fernando, Josephine, Mary, and Earnest.
Rita is survived by her devoted brother, Rudy, and her cherished children: Michael Shannon, Kevin Brian, and Elaine Marie Tapp.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Nicole, Tyler, Tara, Alicia, Jessica, Lauren, Melissa, and Taebien and
great-grandchildren Joseph, Michelle, Xander, Blake, and Jamie.

Family Private Moment - 5:00 pm. - 5:30 pm.
Viewing To The Public - 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on May 20th at 9:30 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 3290 W. Milan Ave., Sheridan, Colorado.
Interment will follow at 11:00 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
A reception to honor Rita’s life will be held afterward at the Holy Name Reception Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, reflecting Rita’s compassionate spirit and dedication to meaningful causes.
