In Loving Memory
Margaret Leppi, age 85, of Duluth passed away on May 18, 2025, peacefully at home after an extended battle with breast cancer. Her beloved husband of 65 years was by her side.
Margaret was born on July 31, 1939 to Clarence and Grace (Brown) Mostoller in Grand Rapids. She grew up in Warba and graduated from Grand Rapids High School. Margaret met her soulmate Elmer at a dance, and they were married February 6th, 1960. She devoted her life to being a mother and managing their household and the accompanying apartments. Margaret loved going to dances, listening to live music and puzzles. She claimed to not like animals, but they loved her. She also found joy in camping, traveling and gardening. Margaret's greatest legacy would be her family. She loved her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids with her whole heart and then some. This love was not limited to just her immediate family, as many of those who crossed her threshold soon became family.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Elmer; her children, Laurie, Cherie (Bill), Kevin and Joy; grandchildren, Sam (Dave), Xander, Dessi and Gabby (Travis); great-grandchildren, Emelia, Valeska and Eleanor; honorary grandchildren, Melissa and Ava; brother, Edwin Mostoller and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her sisters, Clarice, Betty, Frances and Mabel; and brothers, Merrill and Harold.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 4 PM at Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. Visitation one hour prior with a reception to follow at the Funeral Home Fireside room. Interment will be at a later date.
