Tom was born in Chicago, IL. The first five children of Violet and Thomas Sweeney.
In 1959 Tom married the love of his life Cathi Olson. He and Cathi were married 65 years and raised one daughter Barbara Sweeney Lindgren.
Tom had many interests in his life which included his handyman skills, but most importantly his dedication and love of his career within the fire service.
Tom died peacefully and is survived by his wife, daughter and son -in- law Phil and many beloved Grandchildren and friends.
A Celebration of life will be held in future, date to be determined.
