. Michael B Foley Jr (Mike), a resident of Treasure Island, Florida, passed away Saturday May 24th, 2025, at Heritage Oaks in Englewood Florida. He was 81 years old.
Mike was born June 19th, 1943, in Tampa Florida to M.B. Foley Sr. and Wilhelmina Hormuth. He went to college at The University of South Florida where he earned a degree in Engineering and a master’s degree in business.
After graduating college, Mike worked for NASA in Huntsville, Alabama where he helped design the camera pack for the Saturn 5 rocket. He met the love of his life Martha Mason, and they were married on September 11th, 1964. He went on to become the Senior Vice President at Florida Power Corp. a position he held for several years. Mike loved Photography, Nature, being on the water, Palm trees and the state of Florida. He also loved Hybridizing Day lilies. He was of Catholic Faith.
Mike was proceeded in death by his parents and three sisters Irma, Gerry and Patricia. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Martha Foley; his brother, John and his sister, Gina. Mike was loved by many friends and family.
